Guest Post!

Ladies (and gentlemen?),

I asked someone to do a guest post for me because she is the writer of one of the first blogs I started reading. It was July 2012 and I stumbled across her blog completely by accident and I've never looked back. Kathryn is a amazing advocate for body positivism and whenever I feel a little bit down in the dumps, reading her blog and seeing her fantastic Instagram pictures of her 'outfits of the day' always cheers me up.

Without further ado, I give you Miss Kathryn, and a wonderful lifestyle post...

Review | Graze Box

Graze was set up five years ago by 7 blokes who claim "we all love food and wanted to get a lot more out of our snacking." I've been aware of Graze for a long time but thought it was quite expensive and you don't really get a lot for your money.

If you can't be bothered to read the review but fancy signing up anyway, my referral code is:

That's 7LHWC4Q2P. If you use this code you will get your first, fifth and tenth box free. I will get £1 off my next box. It's win win! And you can stop at any time. Promise!

To be honest I always thought it would be cheaper to buy 4 full size bags of peanuts, Bombay mix, olives etc and just eat those as and when I fancied. Graze seemed like a novelty but having tried them, I can say I am a convert and I have changed my box from fortnightly to weekly delivery!

Review | Birchbox February 2014

I received this late last week and just couldn't find the time to review it, so now I've had a few days to get to grips with the products I thought I would give you a run down.

Birchbox costs £10 per month plus £2.95 P&P. I have been signed up since October. I know you're probably thinking I'm a bit of a moaner who doesn't like anything I receive, but I really do like a LOT of beauty and makeup products, but I know what suits me, what I will use and what I won't. Perhaps I am hard to please, but is that such a bad thing?!

My first thought was oooh, interesting!

Review | Love Me Beauty February 2014

Love Me Beauty is a beauty box with a bit of a difference. Each month you have the option of choosing from one of three 'menus' or you can choose the mystery box and what you get will be a complete surprise. I'm too sceptical to choose the mystery box because I've convinced myself it's just the leftovers from other boxes that nobody wants. If I'm wrong, please let me know!

(As a quick aside, I nearly didn't sign up for this box because of the atrocious grammar on their website; they keep using an apostrophe to pluralise the word menu (i.e. menu's) which drives me nuts!)

This month I wasn't overly pleased with the choices on offer, but they cunningly charge you for the box before you see the options, so you basically have to choose or they will send you the mystery box. I had little choice but to choose 'Edition 3' this month because the other two boxes contained Beautify Me Vitamin Complex tablets, and I already take vitamins and enough prescribed medication to keep Boots Pharmacy in business, so I didn't want to risk it.

Without further whining, let's have a look at the box!

Review | Wantable Makeup Box February 2014

Having dabbled in numerous beauty boxes (Glossybox, Birchbox, Love Me Beauty) I am becoming somewhat more picky in what I like and what I don't when it comes to beauty and makeup products. After the disaster that was the January Glossybox (review here) I decided to investigate what else was on the market.

I stumbled across Wantable via Instagram and was excited by the photos I saw of other people's boxes. They have three to choose from: makeup box, accessories box and intimates box. I did some research and was pleased to read that they were launching in the UK and I Facebook stalked followed them to find out more. It transpired that I only had to wait a week until they launched their UK delivery service. Monday 27th January was the UK launch day and I ordered as soon as I got up. Why was I so excited about this box? What makes it different?
