I bought this 150ml tube in Asda for £3 although the shelf label said it was rolled back from £5. I was intrigued by the 3 in 1 claims but was mainly looking for a new face mask. There aren't any high end brands for sale at Asda but this caught my eye with its claims to purify, unclog pores and mattify. It also contains white clay which is quite a trendy face mask additive at the moment.
The product itself is nice and thick with good sized beads for scrubbing. Upon reading the instructions it does seem that in fact this is a 2 in 1 product because using it as a wash and a scrub are basically the same thing - even the instructions on the tube are the same (slap it on, rub it around, wash it off!) So, wash/scrub, same thing.
I applied it as a mask in a thick layer. Although the tube says to leave it for 3 minutes I left it a little longer to see if it would harden or tighten at all. After about five minutes I could see the mask starting to harden in places which is something I like from this kind of thing. I washed it off before it had time to fully dry though as I had already exceeded the recommended time.
After rinsing my face and patting it dry my face felt tight. This is a good thing for my oily T-zone but not so good for my cheeks which were a little dry for a couple of days after use. The upside was that the pores on my nose were a lot less noticeable. When I use this next I will avoid putting it on my cheeks. It just goes to show how tricky it is to get products for combination skin!
