I received a 15ml sample size of this product in Birchbox and thought it was just another primer to add to my stash. I was wrong. The sample came in a cute plastic bottle which is an exact replica of the full size 30ml bottle, although the full size bottle is glass. The bottle is study and sleek looking - it has a high end feel to it which is confirmed by the £28 price tag! Luckily I had some Birchbox points to use so I only had to pay £18 towards it.
The makeup base is a very lightweight formula that smooths and hydrates the skin. It comes out as a very pale peach but doesn't colour the skin in any way once it's rubbed in. I was a convert from the first use - it made my skin feel silky without any stickiness or greasiness whatsoever. It doesn't mattify the skin nor does it make it dewy, it just sinks in and provides a beautiful base for foundation.
You don't need a lot; I only use a pea sized amount and I'm just coming to the end of my sample size after using it for about 8 weeks! This means I should get a good 3-4 months out of the full size version if I continue to use it everyday.
Pros:
- Lightweight, non-greasy formula
- Not sticky
- Water based
- Beautifully hydrating
- Makeup lasts longer
- Pricey

This looks very interesting! I struggle with primers so maybe I should give this a go.

I struggle too and have a drawer full to prove it! This one is my favourite so far though :)
DeleteMy favourite primer is Laura Geller's Spackle because it works! It gives my hormonal skin a lovely smooth texture and literally keeps my make up stuck on all day (even on hot sweaty days) with very minimal loss. She has a brilliant range of colours in it including a shimmery champange for a glowing complexion without looking like you are tanned or orange! x
ReplyDeleteI prefer the matte look myself - I have such oily skin that anything designed to give a "glow" just makes me look like a chip hehe x
